it’s going to be saturday, may 26th at 4pm. it’s going to be small, taking place at the farm sanctuary in watkins glen, new york. hopefully, it will be outside.

the plan is to have the ceremony, and then the nice people at the farm will take us all on a tour. then we’ll eat some vegan food. we’re hoping for a low-key and fun time.

places to stay

one of the cabins at farm sanctuary is available. it’s a cute room with 2 beds and a sitting area. the bathroom is in the “people barn.” that would be about $75 a night and it includes breakfast.

my sisters and i stayed at the seneca clipper inn when we visited in february. it’s clean and cozy, with a nautical theme. the innkeeper was also very nice and helpful.  i liked it.

for more ideas, try the schuyler county chamber of commerce site. or visit google.com and search for watkins glen bed and breakfast, and you’ll find so many adorable spots your head will spin.

So I’ve been enthralled by circles again, making all these patterns and drawings. I guess somehow my body liked it also. It’s trying to tell me something. I got ringworm! It’s starting to clear up now though. It’s a rather interesting fungus (it’s not a worm). But it grows in a perfect circle on your body. Mine was small only about the size of a quarter on my lower back. Don’t know how the hell I got it either. I guess its passed by human contact. Weird.

A short list of things I’m currently digging.
1. Angelique’s new haircut. Very cute!
2. The new ride – Fisher Paragon
3. Weather above 40 degrees!
4. Peter, Bjorn and John
5. Settlers of Catan
6. The new Modest Mouse
7. Getting married in two months!

And a few links for your Monday tired legs cuz you did a crazy long hilly mt. bike ride yesterday kind of day:

This one’s funny. The joy of tech.

One of my favorite birds came back to Ohio and started yelling at me again last week.
The red winged black bird is back in town!

I caught a flew last week. Darn it. I battled it with Airborne which really seems to work great. It seems like being vegan has improved my immune system even more. Now, I just get a cold for about 48 hours and then it wears off. Pretty rad.

Raced on Saturday in the rain. It was in the Hocking Hills, super tough course. 2 laps of 18 miles each with 2 climbs each lap. The first climb is up Jack Run, a 1/5 mile 20% wall and then the second to the start line was up Cantwell Cliff. It’s a long pretty climb with a switchback or two. Very nice. I died up the first climb! But caught back onto a group of 4. We were about 40 seconds behind the leaders but they missed a turn and kept going. Wish I had noticed that one but they were out of site. I got a big gap on the downhill and sat up to work with the remaining guys thinking our race was over. I pretty much took the rest of the race easy. When I rolled in they said ‘4th place’. Huh? Dumb. Oh well. That’s racing in a Tim Tyler race.

This is pretty sweet.

Here’s another circle:

Report from last weeks race: Raced on Saturday. Racing is always fun don’t get me wrong but this race sucked in comparison. Why? Bunch of no good negative racing pains in my ass. Everyone wanted to sit in and wait for the bunch sprint. But I wanted to have some fun. The course was pretty much flat but it had some rough parts to bust things up on. A tough headwind section and an uneven sketchy paved section that was slightly uphill grind. My friend Joe (who races mt. bikes for the Trek Store) and I decided to race as a team and have some fun. On the first corner I realized it was pretty easy to open a gap and told Joe to attack and I’d block for him. He went up the road on the last lap and two guys chased him with the field riding hard to keep things in check. I sat in and waited the three got brought in except they forgot about the Summit Freewheeler sitting about 30 yards in front of us. Well, 30 yards became 50 and still nothing from the field. “Let him sit out there, he’ll crack” Hey idiot, do some work and chase him down cuz he isn’t cracking! No one except for Gary from Bike Source and 1-2 other were willing to work to chase him down. I tried in vain to get a few people to pull through but it was pointless. He got away. We came in to town and I got 4th in the sprint. Frustrated.

you have to go on this site! it’s so cute! corgi power!

but it’s really neat! we went to the arnold classic yesterday. it’s a “fitness” festival at the convention center, held each year. why in the world would we go to an arnold schwarzenegger event? table tennis! ping pong! if you have ever seen professional table tennis matches, you’d know it’s really fun to watch. i tried real hard to get some video footage on my cell phone, but it just wasn’t turning out very nice. you can see some bitchin’ table tennis here, though: killerspin.
